Fruited Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1kg Boneless Bolar or Topside Roast
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • To taste pepper
  • 1 cup water (add to pan browning of meat before adding to slow cooker)
  • 12 pitted prunes
  • 200g approx Dried apricot halves

150 degrees degrees C

Directions

  1. Add oil to pan and heat

  2. Sear meat on all sides in pan

  3. Add to slow cooker with the other ingredients

  4. Thicken about an hour before serving with 1/4 cup of flour mixed rto a smooth paste with water
