FAQs

1. How do I enter the competition?

Just visit the entry page and enter your details, followed by your recipe on the next page. Once you’ve submitted your recipe we’ll check it over, and if everything’s ok we’ll add it to the recipes on the site and you’re in the draw to win! We’ll also send you an email to let you know once your recipe has been accepted.

2. How many times can I enter?

As many times as you like! So long as you enter a new recipe each time, and that recipe is significantly different from any others you’ve already submitted. We can’t wait to see them!

4. How are you going to choose the winner?

We’re not. Julie Biuso is! We’re going to get all the best recipes together, then Julie is going to choose the recipe she feels is the best mix of originality, creative flair and just plain tastyness as the winner.

5. Can I submit someone else’s recipe?

Well you could, but that’s not going to help your chances of winning. Your recipe should reflect your own original creative flair and really shouldn’t be takes from someone else. Everyone gets their cooking ideas from different places. A list of ingredients is just a list of ingredients – it’s how you put it together that really counts.

When you submit a recipe into the Selaks NZ Roast Recipe competition please ensure it’s your own original creative contribution. If you do copy someone else’s recipe and use it in this competiton (and we will check them), we’ll remove your recipe immediately.
It’s just not on really.

6. Oops. I submitted a recipe with a few typos. Can I change it?

Unfortunately no, at present we only have an administration section for ourselves to edit and manage the recipes. If you’re desperately unhappy with your recipe, send us an email at recipes@selaksnzroastday.co.nz with your name, the name of your recipe, and what you’d like changed and we’ll try and sort it out for you.
